Today saw the launch of the newly rebranded Syngenta Crop Protection website incorporating Syngenta Seeds and a custom social media system.Syngenta is a world-leading agribusiness committed to sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology. The company is a leader in crop protection and ranks third in the high-value commercial seeds market. Sales in 2007 were approximately $9.2 billion. Syngenta employs over 21,000 people in more than 90 countries. Syngenta is listed on the Swiss stock exchange (SYNN) and in New York (SYT).Over a 3 month period we completely stripped the website down to the coding and rebuilt it from the ground up, into a new corporate looking website, adding in new functionality and personalisation of the site for visitors.Our team integrated our own social media system including forums, videos, photo galleries, blogs and news into the website using our remotely hosted social media solution.The website was promoted with a launch email marketing campaign and as new functionality is added throughout the next 12 months will be promoted regularly.

The Product Guide on the Syngenta website was one of the most popular pages on the website with over a third of the traffic hitting these pages, but with a very high bounce rate and exit rates (users hitting the product guide and leaving the website without going anywhere else) it was time for an update.www.syngenta-crop.co.uk/product-guide.aspx was updated last week and already we have seen a difference in the users journey, with the bounce rate significantly down compared to pre-update, and with the amount of time users are spending in the new products it shows that a program of continued improvement can enhance the users experience.Thinking about your users experience when planning out your website project is just as important as search engine optimisation and site structure.

Today saw the launch of our latest social media application.An internal forum and messaging system for the top level Management of a large International Financial Company was launched today, on time and within budget.The system allows top level Management to communicate with lower level Managers they are personally mentoring, as well as the ability to take part in International Management discussions and forums.Hosted on our own infrastructure the system has an internal document library and calendar system, controlled via a custom content management system the system has been given a warm reception by the Managers.
